Benchmark Commercial Construction, LLC is pleased to announce the signing of a Design-Build Agreement for a new mixed-use development at 365 Earl Core Road in Morgantown, West Virginia. The signing represents an important milestone for the project and officially begins the design-build process, bringing the owner, design professionals, and construction team together from the earliest stages of development. Benchmark Commercial Construction will serve as the Design-Builder, providing a single point of responsibility while coordinating design, reconstruction, budgeting, constructability, scheduling, permitting, and ultimately construction.
The design-build delivery method allows important construction decisions to be made while the project is being designed. Rather than completing the design and then determining its actual construction cost, Benchmark will continuously evaluate the project budget, materials, building systems, site conditions, constructability, and schedule as the design develops. This collaborative process is designed to keep the owner’s vision, project scope, construction budget, and schedule aligned from the beginning.

With the Design-Build Agreement now executed, Benchmark will move into the next stages of design development and preconstruction. The project team will continue developing the building program, site requirements, construction budget, schedule, and permitting strategy as the development progresses toward construction.
